FLIGHTS: We
have 4 flight groups with our handicaps for awarding prizes and competition:
1st flight ... 2nd flight ... 3rd flight ... and the 4th flight handicaps are
posted on the bulletin board and change from time to time so we don't list them
here. We attempt to keep equal numbers in each flight, if possible. PLAY
OF THE DAY: (POD)
The directory lists all Play of the Day. Score cards
are prepared for each week. Winnings are posted on the board and entered in a
book which is kept at the Golf Shop. All winnings are to be used by the end of
June. SCORE

Fill out two score cards each play day... scorecards
- One goes into the box
marked "Shalimar 9-HERS HANDICAP".
- The
second card goes in the box marked "PLAY OF THE DAY".
- Be
sure they have been signed, dated and attested. Since we have many similar names
in our group, PLEASE PRINT FIRST and LAST NAMES on each card in alphabetical order.
DUES:
Your dues must be paid before any scores are counted for handicapping for play
of the day prizes. GUESTS:
... Membership
Form You may be a guest for three times only in a season. Then
you must become a member to continue play. HANDICAPPING:

on the Shalimar course and put the signed, dated and attested card in the Shalimar
9-HERS Handicap sleeve/box. HOLE-IN-ONE:

played out of the four weeks of tournament play. Three (3) score cards will be
needed. Place 3rd card in envelope/box marked "Tournaments". BIRDIES
and QUACKERS: Competition for most birdies and quackers (chip-ins)
begins in September and ends at the end of April. Birdies and Quackers
will be recorded for you and posted. You get one quacker pin and then no more
unless you lose yours during the previous year. LUNCHEON
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you sign up and find you cannot make a
luncheon: - TO
CANCEL YOUR TEE TIME, you should call the Golf Shop, 480-838-0488.
- You
must also call the Hostess (listed in directory and
also check e-mail page) for the luncheon or the President
to cancel. Informing the Golf Shop does not relieve you of your responsibility
to call the Hostess.
-
You must cancel for the luncheon no later than the Sunday before the Wednesday
luncheon or you will be billed for lunch. The amount billed will be the amount
of the shortage divided by the number of no shows. (I.e. two people don't show
up and haven't called and one additional person shows up -- shortage is $12.00
then each person is charged $6). The list of those owing money will be posted
on the bulletin board and the money must be paid before that member is allowed
to attend the next luncheon
