01 of 14. The March Lake Powell trip was originally envisioned to be a solo trip, from Wahweap at the southwestern end to Hite at the northeastern end of the lake. Instead, I invited the Desert Paddler's Club mascot, the "Evil Gecko" along on the trip. He took on some of the driving chores as we headed across the desert north of Flagstaff.
