06 of 36. We stopped at Horsethief Canyon to check out the petroglyphs. This stop was the first serious notice we had of significant rainfall a few weeks ago. This canyon had flashed and cut the stream bed down over four feet from where it had been two years ago. Many of the canyons had flashed, creating significant shoals and sandbars ready to catch the unaware!
