06 of 23. In spite of all the bear awareness info on some of the websites about the Powell Forest Canoe Route, Christie says bears are a "non issue." They know of one near Windsor that runs away when it sees someone. No one is even hanging food except to get it off the ground for raccoons. I never even saw any old bear sign.
