The campsite at the north end of the Horseshoe/Lois portage is built primarily in a small granite quarry where they got rock for the dam that bottles up the creek to Lois Lake and has space for at least four parties. The tables are massive and yet again different from the other sites. I picked the spot on the point for the breeze which kept the mosquitoes away. Portage tomorrow morning is 4156 feet. Would have moved the boat today, but I smell much better after a warm swim in the lake.
