Choose an animal to learn more about.
Make lots of animal tracks and place them around the room, house, or
school.
Have your children or students look for the animal tracks.
Have a picture or photo of the animal at the end of the tracks.
As you tell them more about that animal, have them color the animal.

Hibernating Animals
Build a cave out of chairs and blankets. Place a teddy bear (or
any other stuffed animal) into the cave. Have it stay there for a
period of time (for example, a day, a week, Christmas break,
etc.). Have the children play with the bear (or other animal)
after it hibernates.
Games Animal, Animal, Who Are You? (for younger children)
The children sit in a circle. One child sits or stands in the
center and acts out the movements or makes the sound of an
animal. The other children raise their hands to guess what
animal the child is imitating. The child who guesses
correctly then acts out another animal. You may want to
have the child in the center whisper the name of the animal to
you before acting it out. Then you can be sure the child
has the animal clearly in mind, and you can help the child is necessary.
