About Our Network

FastQ has been in business for more than 13 years as a provider of high performance web hosting solutions and Intenret connectivity.  Our facility is staffed with highly trained, professional people who are on-call 24 hours per day.

FastQ's network has been designed with redundancy and speed as the primary design concerns.  Our facility supports self-healing, in case of failures.  The highest quality performance is what we demand of our own system.

  
Network Infrastructure Overview:

Where it begins...

Our primary network connectivity is provided by dual, redundant OC3's with peering to other ISP's and connectivity to exclusively selected Tier-1 bandwidth.

Our core routers are Cisco 7500 series with dual power supplies, dual network processors and redundant utility connections. These enable clients to experience 99.9% un-interrupted service -- even in the event of a hardware failure.

Internal Switching:

All internal switching in our data center is done via Cisco Catalyst 4xxx series layer 3 distribution switches.  All switches have redundant power supplies and redundant connectivity to each other via OSPF.  Each is connected to our core via Gigabit fiber-optic Ethernet.

High Speed DSL:

A Cisco 7100 series ATM router manages our DSL customer's connections.  This device allows us to provide commercial-grade DSL to our clients, no matter their size or bandwidth requirements.

Our Data Center:

Our data center is monitored 24 hours a day by our professional staff.  It has motion-activated cameras and an advanced electronic security system.  All floors are covered with vinyl tile and telcom-grade overhead wiring.  Air conditioning is provided by a triply redundant system.
