Sweet and Sour Chicken or Country Style Spareribs

2 pounds cooked and cubed chicken or whole country style boneless spareribs
3-8 ounce cans tomato sauce
2 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup vinegar
1 cup brown sugar or 1 cup white sugar and 2 tablespoons mild molasses
1/4 cup corn starch + 1 1/2 teaspoons
About 3 cups uncooked white rice

Cook chicken or spareribs ahead of time.  Cook rice.

In a large saucepan, add tomato sauce, water, vinegar, and brown sugar (or white sugar and
molasses).  Mix.  With burner off still, add corn starch. Stir.  Turn burner on and let sauce
come to a boil.  Reduce heat and let simmer until sauce thickens.  After the sauce has thickens;
place chicken pieces or whole spareribs into the sauce and serve over rice.
