Ring Marshmallow Balls

1 1/2 tablespoons margarine, acceptable dairy-free margarine, or cooking oil
2 cups miniature marshmallows
2 cups of your favorite ring (fruit, oats, etc.) cold cereal
Food coloring (optional)

In a non-stick medium sized saucepan, melt margarine (or add cooking oil) and
marshmallows on medium heat; stir constantly.  Take off the heat.  Add a few
drops of food coloring (if desired).  Stir. Add cereal. Stir.  Let cool slightly.
Place a small amount of water in a bowl.  Place your hands in it each time you
make a ball.  Let cool completly.  Makes 16 to 20 balls or whatever shape you
like (depending on how big you want them).
