Teaching Honesty

Activities

Contributed by:  Barbara Pratt

This is a great way to teach younger children to tell the truth.
Button Button, Who Has The Button?
This is played with more than three people. Sit in a circle on the floor. Pass the button (make sure you don’t let anyone see you have it) to another person’s cup shaped hands. The person drops it in someone's hands. At the end say, "Button button, who has the button?"  Tell them they need to be honest (tell the truth) when you ask them.  (...) do you have the button?

You can go to my link page "Games & Physical Education Links" to find games.

COOKIE SPIDER
Take an oreo cookie, and pull it apart, place 3 red licorice ropes for the legs, and use two red hots for the eyes, by placing them on with
white frosting, and put the above saying with the cookie.

Contributed by: Barbara Pratt
Since our diet is dairy-free, I had to think of a treat that we could eat. You can use the above quote for these treats too.
Make cookies or cupcakes.  Have the children frost there cookie or cupcake.  Have them put some licorice ropes for the legs and chocolate
chips, raisins, etc. for the eyes.
