Miscelleneous Links

If you are trying to find a list of what your child or students should know at a certain age, go to Typical Course of Study for Preschool through High School.  I feel children learn when they are ready to learn something and you shouldn't push them to learn anymore if they are not ready to do so.  Use it as your guide but you don't have to follow it exactly (especially homeschoolers).

The U.S. Department of Education has publications you can read online and/or download in pdf file.  Go to ED Publications: Publications for Parents, Including the Partnership for Family in Education to find information in lots of subjects.  Some are for early childhood (math, geography, etc.) and for other ages. Lots of great resources for test taking, Reading Improvement, Help Your Child Become a Reader, Test-Taking, Write Well, Get Ready for School and Succeed in School (if your not homeschooling), Learn Geography, History, Math, Science, Responsible Behavior, Use the Library (in English & Spanish), With Homework (in English & Spanish), Learning Activities (including recipes), and other resources.
